I'm ready for my new family!

Mayzie is a 50lb, 7-year-old boxer/beagle mix who is spayed and current on her shots. She gets along well with dogs her size or larger and has been raised with cats. Her compatibility with young children under the age of 12 is unknown. Energetic and playful, Mayzie loves attention and enjoys activities like catching snowballs, playing with the hose, tug-of-war, and unwrapping gifts. She howls along with YouTube dogs and is alert, making her an excellent watchdog. Housetrained as well as crate trained. The negative behaviors are minor and should be easily corrected with time and consistency. With another dog at home, I expect some issues to be resolved naturally. She isn’t leash-trained (Use a harness we will provide) but uses the fenced yard for bathroom needs. She has limited freedom in the house when we're out, thanks to baby gates that keep her away from the cat's food. Crateing her is easy when guests visit. She tends to jump on people and may nip unfamiliar hands; she dislikes strangers and other animals near her food, though she's fine if you take it away. She travels well by car and responds best to firm boundaries. Mayzie’s adoption fee has been waived. We only seek a good application.
